My research

My research focuses on urban landscape ecology. I used sustainability index to assess the four Major Cities (Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung) in Taiwan and analyzed the change trends of urban green space in Taipei city between 1994 and 2007.

In this study, we corrected 9-year data and applied grey relationship to analysis the sustainability trend in Taipei, Taichung, Tainan, and Kaohsiung from 1995 to 2003. The results had shown that Taipei development was the closest to the sustainability standard, followed by Taichung and Tainan in the second and third respectively.

In future this study will also address ecosystem service value of urban green space in Taipei and propose the management strategy to the government.
